How does the meal swapping work if I don't like what's suggested?

Every meal in your plan is calculated to fit your macro targets. Don't fancy the salmon tonight? Simply swap it for another dinner option from our library - every alternative will still keep you within your calorie and macro goals, so you're still on track for your weight-loss results without any extra effort or thinking.

What happens if I eat something that's not on my meal plan?

The App is designed around following your personalised meal plan to hit your targets. If you add off-plan foods (like snacks or takeaway), the App won't recalibrate your other meals - you'll simply go over your macros for that day. The key to results is sticking with the plan… but life happens and one off day won't derail your progress.

I’ve tried similar recipes online… will my kids actually eat these, or will I be cooking separate meals?

These are Leah's real family recipes - the same meals she makes for her own kids. They're designed to be crowd-pleasers, not "health food" that only you'll eat.

Do I have to weigh and measure everything I eat forever?

Nope. BARE teaches you portion eyeballing and macro balancing so you can eventually eat intuitively. Most people need the tracking for 8-12 weeks to learn the system, then they can maintain their results without constantly logging food.

I travel 2-3 times per month for work - will this actually work with my schedule?

Yes, because it's macro-based, not meal-specific. You'll learn to hit your protein, carb, and fat targets at airport restaurants, hotel breakfast buffets, and client dinners. 

I've tried macro counting before with MyFitnessPal and gave up after two weeks - what's different?

BARE does the math for you upfront. Instead of reverse-engineering random foods to hit mysterious numbers, you get pre-calculated meal plans that automatically hit your targets. 

How much time does meal prep actually take? 

The batch cooking guides are designed for 90 minutes on Sunday to prep 3-4 meals. Think: baking chicken thighs, roasting vegetables, and cooking rice. Then weekday "cooking" is just reheating and assembling - usually under 10 minutes.

Will this work if I'm already 15-20 pounds overweight, or is this just for people with 5 pounds to lose?
